Ser Devrin Aldwin

Ser Devrin Aldwin is a battle-hardened knight of Avalos and one of House Blackthorne’s most dependable field commanders. He built his name far from court, where loyalty is measured in ground held and lives carried home.

Devrin fights beside the Blackthornes through the wars consuming the west. Blunt, disciplined and nearly impossible to frighten, he is the kind of soldier who remains visible when a line begins to collapse—because men fight differently when they can still see him standing.

He has neither Cedric’s authority nor Elra’s legend. What Devrin possesses is simpler and rarer: a refusal to abandon the people beside him, even when survival would be easier alone.

“A knight’s oath matters most when keeping it becomes impossible.”
