Markus Adler

Markus Adler is the Imperial Governor of occupied Lorae’ln and the acting field marshal of the 9th Army. Draped in the red of imperial command, he is charged with turning a conquered elven realm into a territory the Seventh Imperium can govern, tax and hold.

The appointment joins civil authority to military force. Adler controls the occupation’s garrisons, decrees and supply lines while the surviving elves continue to resist through the deep roads and hidden reaches of the Eternal Forest.

He regards Lorae’ln not as a nation, but as a campaign that has not yet accepted its conclusion.

“Conquest takes a season. Obedience is the longer war.”
