Jorund Hess

Jorund Hess is the son of Konrad Hess, the Varian admiral whose blockades broke the Bay of Kravos and whose campaigns brought Yashamiro and Qianhai beneath imperial rule.

Raised beneath the weight of his father’s victories, Jorund inherited a name associated with discipline, conquest and absolute devotion to the Varian Empire. Yet he carries that legacy more quietly than Konrad ever did. Guarded and thoughtful, he understands that every room judges him before he speaks—and that many will always see the admiral’s son before they see the man.

As the war spreads beyond the Empire’s control, Jorund must decide whether a name is a destiny or merely the first burden a man is given.
