Edwin Vale

Prime Minister Edwin Vale is the elected head of Westmarch, a realm bound to the Avalosian crown yet fiercely protective of its own laws and institutions. He reads maps as political documents, studying not only borders but the promises and grievances beneath them.

Vale supports the defence of the western kingdoms, but refuses to let emergency become an excuse for permanent control from Avalos. Every soldier, levy and treaty must answer to the people who will bear its cost.

Among kings and hereditary lords, his authority comes from debate, compromise and the difficult task of returning home with an agreement his government can survive.
