Cassion Morvaak

Prince Cassion Morvaak is the younger brother of Emperor Aldon and commander of the Fourth Varian Army, known as the Iron Rivers. His blood places him near the centre of imperial power, but his life has been spent far from Einheart’s throne rooms.

On the Volgo front, Cassion wages a war of crossings, supply lines and fortified river towns against Vologrod. He treats movement as the foundation of victory, shifting entire formations along the waterways before an enemy can understand where the true assault will fall.

Cassion serves the Imperium without seeking his brother’s crown. That loyalty makes him valuable—and dangerous—for he commands soldiers who follow the prince in the field, not merely the Emperor whose banners they carry.

“Rivers do not ask permission to cross a kingdom. Neither will the Fourth.”
