Caelan Ashbourne

Caelan Ashbourne is a hardened Crusader of Avalos whose faith has long since become indistinguishable from cruelty. Certain that the First Mother’s law grants him the authority to judge the faithless, he carries out every sentence with a frightening sense of righteousness.

Clad in the white of the Crusaders and marked by the silver rose, Caelan belongs to an order founded to carry Avalosian law beyond every sea. He sees compromise as corruption, doubt as weakness and mercy as a temptation that allows disorder to survive.

Disciplined, merciless and utterly devoted to his cause, Caelan believes suffering becomes sacred when inflicted in the Mother’s name. To the faithful, he is a weapon of divine law. To everyone standing in his path, he is a warning wrapped in white.

“Mercy without law is only surrender.”
